Welcome to the wikispaces homepage for the program on

Stochastic Geometry and Field Theory: From Growth Phenomena to Disordered Systems

at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics, Aug-Dec 2006.

  • This site contains the schedule of seminars and discussions and serves as a repository for resources and materials relevant to topics of common interest (FOR EXAMPLE, FOLLOW THE LINKS IN THE NAVIGATION MENU TO THE LEFT). It is meant as a supplement to the KITP main programs page that features the full program and recorded video and audio of all relevant seminars and talks.
  • YOU can put up links to things such as papers and other web materials that are of interest to others in the program. You can also use it to post pages focusing on particular topics.
  • Every page has an associated discussion page where you are invited to comment and to respond to comments. Program participants and researchers in related areas who are following the program are encouraged to edit these pages and to add new pages to include additional links to papers and engage in discussions over distance.

How do I...

  • Get help? Click on the Help icon at the top right of the screen.
  • Edit a page? Simply hit the edit button at the top of the corresponding page.
  • Add a page? Click on the New Page item on the left.
  • Link one page to another? For instructions on linking pages see Help in the upper right.
  • DONT FORGET! After making a new page, make sure you link it from the navigation bar on the left (by clicking the edit navigation button and adding link to your page) so that people can reach it from here. If you link external pages, make sure the links WORK.
  • If you still have issues and need some help, you can contact Arvind Subramaniam, #1115 KITP , subrama@kitp.ucsb.edu.

ATTENTION MAC USERS: Until a wikibug gets fixed, Safari cannot be used with the visual editor, only with the text editor. You should use the FIREFOX browser instead, which is already available on your workstation at KITP or can be downloaded from here. (Mozilla's Firefox is free and available for nearly all operating systems.)
